Wow. What an incredible four years this has been. I can’t believe my college years are coming to a close. I can honestly say that these have been the most difficult yet amazing years of my life thus far. Throughout these last four years, I have learned a lot about myself. I am very paranoid. I am a perfectionist. I am a control freak. However, I have also learned that I am very driven, caring and a hard worker. Even though I am probably one of the most annoying students known to man (Sorry, every Trinity professor that I have ever had. Thanks for putting up with me!), I have learned that being myself is okay and I am proud of who I am.

So, being the perfectionist that I am, I wanted to write the most amazing, thought-provoking senior column ever and as I continue to write this article, I have come to the conclusion that this is the reason I am not a journalist. And instead of writing some sort of advice column (I have never believed in that stuff anyway. Who am I to tell you how to live your life? Also, isn’t that what college is about? Figuring things out for yourself?), I have realized that someone as paranoid and intense as I am probably should not be giving advice anyways.

So, instead, I have decided to thank everyone who has helped me achieve my goals. First off, thank you to my family. Thank you to my mother and father for supporting and encouraging me every day. Thank you to the admissions office, especially Chris Ellertson, for convincing me to attend Trinity. Thank you to the girls of the palace ““ I have loved living with my princesses! I will especially miss WendsBays with Leah #ringtheclock! Thank you to the ResLife staff; I appreciate you giving me a chance. I learned so much about myself throughout the two years on staff. Thank you to my amazing professors, specifically Dr. Christ; I never would have completed my capstone without you. Dr. Mancha, I wouldn’t have been able to finish my job search without you. Dr. Robertson, thank you for challenging me. Thank you, Twyla Hough, for giving me continuous career advice and listening to my constant freak-outs and near breakdowns.

Thank you to the wonderful girls in Alpha Chi Lambda! I literally wouldn’t have friends if it weren’t for you girls. Thanks for putting up with my awkward antics and general silliness. Thank you to my lovely PC’11. Thank you to my Friendship Knot fam and beautiful littles Rebecca and Heather. You two are wonderful! Thank you to my amazing grand little, Aynav; I look up to you more than you know! Thanks for being the best suitemate ever! I admire you everyday.

Thank you to KMart for being an incredible mentor. I appreciate you putting up with me and being my life counselor. Thank you to my wonderful creative manager, Katherine Kroll; I wouldn’t have been able to be ad director without you. Thank you to my Trinitonian ad staff ““ you all stuck with me and I cannot thank you enough.

Finally, last but not least, thank you, Trinity. Thank you for blessing me with opportunities and letting me carve my own path. Thank you for teaching me that it is okay to make mistakes. Thank you for challenging me to my breaking point but also for caring for me when I needed it most. Although I am anxious to jump into the “real world,” I am confident that I will excel with the valuable life skills that I have gained from this beautiful University. Thank you for being you. I will miss you dearly, Trinity.
