Calling all artists! Take a quick trip off-campus to indulge in the art of putting two things together at Irrationally Speaking, a contemporary art gallery at Ruby City. Open every week from Thursday to Saturday until August, this gallery is free to the public, though reservations are recommended by staff. See anything from bronze sculptures created from rubber-soled shoes to a collage made from clothes.

If you’ll be in San Antonio after final exams, head on over to the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium on Saturday, May 31 for the 25th annual San Antonio Festival of Flowers. With $10 admission and free parking, it’s sure to be a nice day in the sun. Peruse the outdoor farmers market, sample food made with locally grown herbs and learn all about gardening at this day-long event. Show up early to beat the heat: The first 1,000 adults receive a free plant!
