Nothing in this article mentions how Eva Schloss herself was close to Anne. And besides, that’s not even the point of her story. She has her own story she’s sharing. And her purpose is to never let the Holocaust die as a distant memory. She’s even said in previous articles that she only started talking about her story after Otto Frank has passed away because she didn’t want the story to die. She has also said in previous articles that she didn’t know Anne that well and didn’t really get too close to her. So I have no idea why you’re making it seem like she’s using Anne to make profit when that’s not what she’s doing and you’re missing the whole point of her activities. You should do some more research before you go and make judgements. That’s a big reason for racism.

Although Eva Schloss had some terrible experiences during the war, she was not a friend of Anne Frank and it is unlikely that she ever even met her. This is made absolutely clear in Melissa Mueller’s excellent biography of Anne Frank. It is insulting and hurtful to the genuine friends of Anne Frank that Eva Schloss continues to peddle this untruth. It is also frustrating that media outlets Do not challenge her on this subject.
