A small pothole appeared recently on Stadium Drive between the university and Alamo Stadium.
The pothole, which measures approximately one foot across at its widest point, lies roughly in the middle of the three-way intersection outside of the entrance to campus-adjacent Alamo Stadium closest to Northrup Hall.
The depression is centered around a water meter that, until recently, had been embedded in the street. The pothole, which consists of the sunken water meter completely encircled by a few-inches-wide gap, is evidently not much of a cause for concern for Stadium Drive motorists.
“I haven’t really noticed it,” said Eric Booker, a first year student and frequent driver.
The repair of the pothole will fall to the City of San Antonio due to its location, according to John Greene, director of facilities services for Trinity. Greene noted that when similar situations have arisen in the past, the university has initiated service requests with the city.
“They actually get repaired fairly promptly,” Greene said.
Stadium Drive is no stranger to potholes. Both of the two entrances to Alamo Stadium have potholes that have been getting progressively worse for years.
“The entrance [to the stadium] is pretty chipped up, and I’m sure the traffic it gets during the day doesn’t help,” said sophomore Daniel Salmeron-Sarason. “The potholes should probably get covered up.”
The City of San Antonio’s official website has an online form for reporting potholes; alternatively, service requests can be initiated by dialing 211.

“Both the two?” Seriously? An article that puts so much effort in to grammar gets it so wrong?
