Trinity University provides resources to help all students with academics, future careers, mental wellness and even physical health. All of these services are found on campus and can be used by any of the students enrolled in the university.
One of these resources is Counseling Services. According to the Trinity website, most of the students who visit the campus counselors are seeing a counselor for the first time. The counselors on campus attempt to provide comfort and guidance for students who need to talk to someone.
Career Services also provides helpful resources. Members of this department help students find jobs and internships in the field of their choice after graduating from Trinity. The Counseling Services and Career Services offices can be found in the upstairs area of the Coates University Center across the walkway.
The university also provides free health services for students on campus. The Trinity website states that the goal of Health Services is to provide basic nursing and medical care to students throughout the year. A campus physician is also available by appointment four days a week. Health Services is located in the east end of Myrtle Residence Hall and is open for walk-ins Sunday through Friday.
Trinity also provides many ways for its students to stay in shape. There are two pools on campus, both of which are open to students. The pool inside the Bell Center is a lap pool dedicated entirely to exercise, while the outdoor pool has both a recreational and lap lane side. There is also a running track on campus. The Bell Center contains a general fitness room called the “cardio room” on the second floor complete with weight stations and a variety of cardio equipment for student use. The weight room is located on the first floor of the Bell Center and has free weights and dumbbells.
The library also houses several campus resources. In addition to its numerous study rooms, the library also contains multiple distraction-proof quiet rooms, which are also available for students to check out while studying. The writing center, located on the second floor, is another helpful service that provides student assistants who will review papers and suggest ways to improve your writing. The library is located between the Center for Sciences and Innovation and Laurie Auditorium.
