On Friday September 25, American comedian, writer and actor Bill Burr held an hour-long stand-up show for the first time in San Antonio. Hundreds of locals enjoyed the event alongside refreshments and alcoholic beverages for purchase. Laurie Auditorium was filled nearly to its maximum capacity and Burr was sent off with a standing ovation and thunderous cheers.
Burr is well known for his roles in TV series such as “Breaking Bad,” “New Girl” and “The Kroll Show,” and movies such as “Date Night,” “Walk of Shame,” and “The Heat.” In comedy he is, as was described in Rolling Stone Magazine in 2013, “the undisputed heavyweight champ of rage-fueled humor.”
“I do a couple hundred shows a year. And I enjoy the travel,” writes Burr in his website. “Occasionally I act in movies but only when they let me.”
Burr hosts a weekly podcast called “The Monday Morning Podcast” and has an upcoming series on Netflix titled “F is for Family.” Dates for his future shows can be found at http://www.billburr.com/events.
