Enjoy Trinity classics like Rocky Horror and Swashbucklers, or find the perfect costume
Oct. 26: Tigerthon Halloween carnival
Tigerthon is putting together a Halloween Carnival from 5 to 7 p.m. on Prassel lawn in support of the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. Make sure to plan a costume for their costume contest (the winner gets a $25 gift card) and enjoy food, pumpkin painting and various festival games. To register for the event, follow this link.
Oct. 26: Swing Bums Halloween social
Join Swing Bums at 7:30 p.m. in the Fiesta Room for a spooky social with a costume contest, potluck and prizes.
Oct. 29: Haunted Hall
Join the Swashbucklers on Friday, Oct. 29 from 8 to 11 p.m. for their annual haunted house event on the second floor of Myrtle Hall. Entry is free and open to all students.
Oct. 29: Trinity Theatre thrift sale
Need to put together a last minute Halloween costume? Well you’re in luck, as the Department of Human Communications is offering a thrift sale in the lobby of the Ruth Taylor Theater from 1 to 4 p.m. with contemporary clothing and costume pieces. Almost everything is $1, and they accept cash and Venmo.
Oct. 29: Halloween open mic
Join the Trinity Review in Northrup 040 from 3 to 5 p.m. for a Halloween-themed open mic where you can come share your latest creative project. Costumes are encouraged and candy will be offered.
Oct. 29 & 30: The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Join the Trinity University Players at 8 p.m. for their annual performances of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Rocky Horror is a cult classic show that encourages audience participation. This year, the performance will be in the Ruth Taylor Theater courtyard with picnic-style seating (byo-blanket). Admission is free and you can reserve your seat here.
Oct. 31: Trick-or-treating on Oakmont
Stop by the homes of Trinity administrators and grab some candy to start off (or end, if you’re an early sleeper) your Halloween night. Sheryl Tynes, Michael Bacon, Demi Brown and Bret Biance will all have candy on-hand to pass out from 7-9 p.m., so walk Oakmont in your Halloween best.
Trick or treating: CELCS, Tiger Learning Commons
Several Trinity offices will be offering trick-or-treating candy for students this week, so feel free to poke around for candy next time you stop by.
