Actually, it isn’t anyone’s tuition money that will be funding the oversight of the events. The fees have to be paid by the individual club’s themselves. Even though TUPD officers are already receiving a salary. The issue we were addressing in this article is the external fee TUPD is imposing on organizations.

Glad to see my tuition money is going to funding the oversight of events I don’t even go to. Because we really need a plastic-badge to watch over slightly intoxicated 19 year olds who aren’t even trying to drive to the event. Are you kidding me? $45/hr for what? I’ve never seen any problem on a charter bus other than a couple kids who got too drunk to walk home. They were promptly escorted back to their dorm by THEIR FRIENDS and, if help was absolutely needed (which it never was in any of these cases), TUPD would have been called. We don’t need TUPD. TUPD needs us.
