Sidewalk Symposium: New Year’s resolutions
Students around campus share a few of their new year’s resolutions to kick-start the new semester.
Starting off the new year and new semester with positive goals is important for many students. According to Forbes Magazine, most resolutions only have a 46% success rate. Nevertheless, these resolutions create beneficial goals which encourage individuals to set different expectations for themselves. Some of these goals range from maintaining a better lifestyle through eating and sleeping more or engaging in personal hobbies that one wishes to spend more time doing.
The Trinitonian asked students inside of Coates Library and outside of the Center for the Sciences and Innovations (CSI) about their New Year’s resolutions.
Sabrina Cinque, first-year biology major
What is one of your New Year’s resolutions?
“One of them has to be to lose weight. I joined a powerlifting class last semester which has been really good for me.”
What else have you been doing?
“If I don’t go to that class, I work out on my own time, and I also have started to eat healthier.”
Trinity Herrera, sophomore finance and accounting double-major
