CLIMATE CHECK
First-year Senator Oliver Billings said that students have been waiting in the academic advising offices for two hours for their academic advisers, either because they’re not in their offices or Waitwhile is malfunctioning. Associate Dean of Students Ben Williams recommended Senator Billings reach out to Director of Academic Success Mar-y-Sol Salinas-McCoy to resolve the issue.
Senior Senator Alex Brown asked if there was a way to remind students of what credits and classes they need to graduate. Senator Brown said he has known some students who were surprised by graduation requirements and were hoping for a way to make a plain- text document of what classes or pathways they need. Williams again recommended reaching out to Salinas-McCoy and the academic advising department.
