Thank you for writing this, it gives me hope.
I was born and raised in a catholic home. I pray and I belive in God.
My faith is important to me, is a spiritual home.
So, when I realized I was not straight… it was a bitter discovery and cried for literal years.
Now I’m older and I do not cry for that anymore, but it hurts. Catholic spaces are hostile to LGBTQ+ people and many LGBTQ+ spaces are hostile to catholics (not without reason, but still). I wonder if there will ever be a place to be me.

    Ben,
Thank you for sharing your Christian pilgrimage and your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I remember a Bible school song I learned as a child with the verses of : “Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red or yellow, black or white; they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the children of world.”
