“Me and my family usually celebrate Thanksgiving around this time.”

“Basic one is probably the pumpkin pie, but also paella.”
What is the weirdest or most uncommon dish your family makes during this time of year?
“To me it is not uncommon, but most people don’t really know what arepas are, and that’s one thing we love to make. So, arepas or paella, most people aren’t eating that for Thanksgiving. And also ‘tequeños.’ I feel like that’s a very underground food, mostly only Venezelanos eat it. I love tequeños.”

“I love my grandmother’s cornbread.”

“My family’s from Louisiana, so instead of doing turkey a lot of the time, we’ll do gumbo and jambalaya.”

“Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s.”

“For Thanksgiving, I would say my favorite dish is stuffing. And then for Christmas, we do a tradition where we eat sushi before Christmas, so sushi, I would say.”
What is the weirdest or most uncommon dish your family makes during this time of year?
“We always go out after Christmas Eve Mass, and we get sushi and noodles and stuff like that — Asian food.”

“Yeah. I celebrate Christmas for sure. Thanksgiving with my family.”

“Honestly, no. I’m so picky.”
What is the weirdest or most uncommon dish your family makes during this time of year?
“During Christmastime and Thanksgiving, since I come from a Hispanic household, we eat rice a lot, so when I brought friends over for Thanksgiving, they’re like, ‘You guys get rice?’ And then during Christmas, we eat ‘fideos,’ which is a Hispanic dish, which is kind of like noodles and random stuff you want to put in it.”

“Thanksgiving would probably be the mashed potatoes or green bean casserole, and then at Christmas, my family makes Swiss fondue.”

“For Christmas, we make Swiss fondue because we lived in Switzerland, and that’s a really common dish there, or we’ll make raclette, because it’s also a common dish there.”
