What are you doing for your partner this Valentine’s Day?
“We are long distance, so unfortunately we won’t be together, but we’re probably just going to FaceTime and watch a movie.”
What made you decide that?
“When we first started talking and hanging out, we would FaceTime and watch movies, so it was a cute little circle back moment to do that.”

What are you doing for your partner for Valentine’s Day?
“He hasn’t asked me to be his Valentine yet, so I’m waiting for him to do that, and if he doesn’t do that, then I’m not gonna do anything with him.”
What made you decide that?
“The whole point of Valentine’s Day is that person asking you to be their Valentine. It’s the thing that keeps the relationship going, not something that you can assume.”
Was this surprising to you?
“No, he knows. He’s well aware, and he still has time. So I’m just waiting for him.”

What are you doing for your partner this Valentine’s Day?
“We’re long distance, so it’ll be a little different. For sure a phone call, maybe we can order food from the same restaurant and get on call and eat together. It’s something, I mean, it’s better than nothing at all. I’m going to Uber Eats some flowers to her, because apparently that’s something you can do.”
What made you decide that?
“Well, it’s a little difficult working that distance. This is the first year we are long distance, so it was just a matter of trying to find something – some way – to make it special without being able to see each other or spend time with each other.”
Are the flowers a surprise, or did you plan this with your partner?
“It’s a surprise, I’m going to deliver them to her with a note.”

What are you doing for your partner this Valentine’s Day?
“I crochet, so I plan on crocheting him a stuffed animal. His favorite is an otter, but I don’t think I have the yarn, so I think I might just crochet him a little heart.”
What made you decide that?
“My love language is not only giving gifts, but making handmade things for people, and I’ve been crocheting for years. I made him a T-shirt over the summer, so I just wanted to make a little stuffed animal because he has a little collection.”
Is your plan a surprise, or does your partner know?
“It’s a surprise.”
