Favorite Thanksgiving foods and traditions

As the Thanksgiving holiday gets closer, students share their favorite parts of the holiday

Thanksgiving is the perfect time for reunions with extended family and friends, taking a break from campus and getting much-needed laundry done. However, the part that most people look forward to when it comes to the holiday is the memories that come along with it.
Every family has different traditions and food that make the Thanksgiving menu, so the Trinitonian asked students around campus what their favorite part of the holiday meal is.

“Pie, specifically chocolate or pumpkin.”

Do you have any traditions connected to that?

“My mom has three sisters and each year we go to a different house to spend Thanksgiving together as a family.”

“Probably mashed potatoes.”

What traditions do you have with that food?

“We like to get Thanksgiving food from Whole Foods, and we’ve never done homemade mashed potatoes before.”
