When asked to taste the margarita that Trinity voted best, I was down. When I found out Trinity voted two places as Best Margarita, I was elated. Both Panchitos and Tomatillos have a long list of margaritas on their menus, but for sake of this issue, I decided to go with a classic frozen lime margarita at both (though I’ll probably be back to Tomatillos to test their “Big Red Rita” as soon as possible). The margs were satisfying at both locations and what you’d expect from a Mexican restaurant as opposed to a cocktail of the same kind from a bougie bar. The margaritas were refreshing, the perfect ratio of lime to tequila and heavily salted (personally, my favorite part of the drink). If you decide to test out margaritas from either of these places, I suggest going during their happy hours, in which the drinks are considerably cheaper. So now you know. Go forth, drink and be merry.
