RAGGAETON PARTY | PERREOLAND | Oct. 18

Heyyy all you rave fanatics. Are you looking for a place to wear that cute new set you found? Bounce on over to That Venue at The Rim, for the second edition of PERREOLAND, the party of your dreams. This one-day festival promises everything from the nostalgia of the early days of reggaeton to the newest, spunkiest hits that are guaranteed to rock your world. Not only can you dance and sing to crazy setlists all night long, but performers on stilts, LED robots and other dancers will be right there alongside you. Pull up in neon and body glitter for extra credit, and don’t even think about leaving without confetti in your hair.

BEETLEJUICE | MOVIE IN THE PARK | Oct. 11

With the turn of the new spooky month, you may be craving a little treat. Take your Saturday night off to settle down in the park next to the Tower of the Americas, where you can watch a free movie as soon as the sun sets. Brush off a picnic blanket and bring your favorite seasonal snacks to watch Beetlejuice, a movie sure to get you in the mood for jack ‘o lanterns and costume shopping. There are food and drink vendors available to purchase snacks once you arrive as well, so you won’t leave hungry. And if you’re convinced it’s too good to be true? Don’t worry, there’s no tricks; there’s free admission!

ON CAMPUS OFFERING | A TIME TO REMEMBER: TRIBUTE CONCERT FOR KERRVILLE/HILL COUNTRY FLOOD VICTIMS | Oct. 16

 

Come join Trinity and the 70-member professional orchestra with members from Kerrville for a night of memorial, honoring the victims of the Guadalupe River flood. Musicians from all over south Texas will be gathering in Laurie Auditorium to perform a modified version of the orchestra’s season-opening show in Kerrville. The performance features Gustav Mahler, Beethoven and more. Seats are limited to general admission by donation. To donate directly, visit www.rebuildkerr.com, but anyone on Trinity’s campus is encouraged to come listen to some beautiful music. It will truly be a time to remember.
