While I can agree that some books (not talking about Stephen books) are longer than necessary, I can not get behind the idea of books being only 200 pages. Short books would be just that short stories, on a single location and a single plot.

One of the latest books of Stephen King(Fairy Tale) the first 100 pages are about the main character back story so you can build up a great image of the location and the psique of the characters in the story. That would leave only 100 pages for ? A short travel to a store and they lived happily ever after.

The need or attempt on shorter books for people to read more will actually backfire, books don’t usually go on sale and usually regardless of length their price is very similar (unless you buy online copies).

Reading is amazing, and people who like it will always continue reading. I often find myself in the situation were ok this book ended what now same as with online movies/series. Personally I would rather enjoy big stories that I can enjoy longer than read a lot of short stories in different books.

I 100% agree with you here. This was actually a satirical piece for the Trinibonian issue. I would never even think about legitimately badmouthing Stephen King like this lol
